Camper Interiors
Product and fit-out business
Replacing paper and operational workarounds with clearer systems, processes and roles.
Camper Interiors had grown through practical knowledge, customer understanding and the ability to make things work. As the operation developed, Business Impact Partners helped introduce the systems, processes and team structure needed to support a more connected and repeatable way of working.

- Process improvement
- Training and implementation
The business context
Ways of working that had grown up with the business.
Camper Interiors had built a capable operation around practical experience. As it developed, parts of that operation still depended on paper, manual administration and knowledge held informally between people who knew how things were done.
The principle
The processes were not wrong. They had evolved through necessity and needed to mature with the business.
The operational challenge
What needed to change.
- Stock needed a system designed around the way the business actually worked.
- Important operational information needed to become easier to manage.
- Paper-based accounting administration needed to move into a more structured digital process.
- Shipping needed a smoother and more consistent workflow.
- Team responsibilities needed greater clarity.
- Training and development needed to support people in their roles.
- Improvements needed to work in day-to-day operations, not only exist as recommendations.
The bespoke stock system
A stock system designed around the real operational process.
An off-the-shelf system was not automatically assumed to be the correct answer. The starting point was how stock actually moved through the business and what the team needed to be able to see.
- Understanding how Camper Interiors handled stock in practice
- Identifying what information the team needed
- Designing a stock system around the real operational process
- Developing a bespoke tool suited to the business
- Supporting its use within internal operations
Accounting administration
Moving away from paper-based working.
Accounting administration had relied on paper-based working. BIP helped move this toward a digital and more structured approach, so financial administration became easier to manage and the information behind it easier to access.
Shipping
A clearer, more consistent shipping flow.
BIP reviewed and smoothed the shipping process: creating a clearer flow, reducing avoidable operational friction, making the process more consistent, and helping the team understand what happens and when.
Internal operations
How the work connected across the business.
The individual workstreams were not separate projects. Together they moved the business toward clearer processes, more structured information, better-defined responsibilities and a more repeatable way of operating, with less reliance on informal or paper-based methods and systems designed around the real business.
Manual work has not disappeared, and it was never the aim to remove it entirely. The aim was to make the operation easier to run and easier to hand over.
Team roles, training and development
A system only creates value when people can use it confidently.
The work was not limited to technology. BIP helped establish clearer job roles, clarify responsibilities within the team, and support training and development so people could understand and use the improved ways of working.
BIPThe connected improvement
Connected workstreams, one improvement programme.
These workstreams supported each other rather than running in a fixed sequence.
- Bespoke stock system
- Clearer internal operations
- More structured accounting administration
- Smoother shipping
- Clearer team roles
- Training and adoption
The result
A more structured and connected way of operating.
Camper Interiors moved toward a more structured and connected way of operating, supported by a bespoke stock system, clearer internal processes, more digital accounting administration, a smoother shipping workflow and better-defined responsibilities across the team.
What it showed
The work demonstrated that meaningful business improvement rarely comes from one piece of software alone. Systems, processes and people needed to develop together.
What this demonstrates
Commercial understanding, operations, technology and people.
- Operations and process improvement
- Bespoke systems
- Internal operations
- Digital process improvement
- Team roles and responsibilities
- Training and implementation
